Tech Ministry … looking for volunteers for a new “tech ministry” or “A/V Ministry”. Our aim is to have 2 operators present at each of our weekend Masses. One operator will control the projection screens and the other will control the soundboard. We would like to recruit at least 20 people so we have enough operators to provide for all our weekend Masses. We cannot begin training the sound operators until the equipment arrives but we can begin providing training to the projection screen operators now. Opening this ministry to adults and youth alike. If you are a youth and are comfortable with technology, you’re more than welcome to join the team and receive training and experience using professional a/v equipment. Call Fr. Chris.

World Day of Migrants & Refugees … on January 18, 2015 … with theme “Church Without Frontiers, Mother to All”. As we continue to prepare for the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, let us be ever mindful that Joseph, Mary and Jesus were migrants and refugees themselves. In our preparation for the birth of Jesus, let us pray for an open heart to discerning the call to the Sponsorship of Refugees in our world today who so need our help, just as our Holy Family needed the help of others when they fled their home in fear of their own lives. Let’s join together, with our Mother Mary, on January 18th, to pray for all Migrants. With regard to incense during our liturgies we will normally use incense during funerals (unless the family makes a special request) and during Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction which we offer each Friday. If we will be using incense during any other services it will be announced ahead of time in the bulletin. Thank you for your help in this matter!

Advent Reconciliation Service … is a great way to prepare your soul for the coming of Christ at Christmas. This year, our service is happening on Tuesday, Dec. 16th, 7:00pm. We will have plenty of extra priests around for individual confessions. Don’t forget to set a reminder on your calendar.

St. Paul’s CWL … would like to thank everyone who helped in any way with our Annual Christmas Lottery and Bake Sale. Catholic Family Services Collection … Peter Mutch, from Catholic Family Services, called us personally to thank everyone for the donations. He was overwhelmed by your generosity. Christmas Carol Hymn Sing … sponsored by S’side and Area Christian Council … Sunday, Dec. 7th, Trinity United Church, 7:00pm. Offering will help Rev. Albert Stairs in dealing with some of the expenses needed to make his home useable before Albert returns from Ch’Town hospital.

Christmas Adopt a Family at St. Paul’s … this has been coordinated by St. Vincent de Paul. This year, we will be making a monetary donation to the Annual Kin Christmas Appeal. Parishioners who would like to continue to adopt a family, by purchasing gifts, can continue to do so by calling Sue at 902-303-0135 – Kin Christmas Appeal Co-Chair. Those wishing to make a monetary donation to help at Christmas can do so by giving directly to St. Vincent de Paul indicating “Christmas Fund” therefore ensuring you receive a tax receipt. The monetary donations will be officially presented at the Kin Christmas Appeal on East Link on Dec 8th.

Lecture Series … Michael Frost presents “Loving the Unloveable“, Parish Centre, 7:00pm on Sunday, Dec. 7th. There are times in everyone’s life where you can be loveable or unloveable. It mostly comes down to a choice of which way you’ll be. Come, sit & listen to hear what the Bible says about loving people who are hard to love.
