All are welcome to this beautiful celebration of Jesus’ Mercy and love.  Jesus said to St. Faustina “Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus I Trust in You” (Diary, 47). “I want this image … to be solemnly blessed on the first Sunday after Easter; that Sunday is to be the Feast of Mercy” (Diary, 49).

Lectors’ Workshop… the Diocesan Liturgical Commission will be offering a workshop for lectors … St. Paul’s Centre on Monday, April 18th, 7:00 – 8:15pm.  Together we will explore hints for preparing/proclaiming and discover the primacy of the Sunday Gospel and its relationship to the other Readings.  All interested are most welcome.

Divine Mercy on Good Friday … gathering on Good Friday after the 3:00pm service to begin the Divine Mercy novena which will be prayed daily for 9 days ending on Divine Mercy Sunday. Pamphlets will be provided for those wishing to join us. We may then do the novena daily at home or consider going to the church on days it is open.

The Mass of Chrism … Monday, March 21st , 7:00 pm at St. Dunstan’s Basilica an integral part of our Holy Week tradition takes place with the blessing/consecration of Holy Oils. This celebration is presided by Bishop Richard Grecco and concelebrated with most priests of our diocese. At this ceremony, representatives of each parish receive from our Bishop the Holy Oils used throughout the year for the celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and the Sacrament of the Sick. For all of us this can be an excellent preparation to enter into the spirit of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil/Easter Sunday).

First Saturday Rosary … in preparation of the 100th year anniversary of the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal in May, 1917 … when our Lady asked all to pray for peace/conversion of sinners … the Knights of Columbus will be leading the Rosary for these petitions, beginning March 5th, 6:30pm prior to the 7:00pm Mass on the first Saturday of each month until the 100th anniversary.

Choir Practices … Youth choir is every Wednesday, 5:00pm; 10:30am Mass Choir is every Wednesday at 6:00pm and the Funeral Choir is every Monday, 10:30am. New singers welcome! Info: Mary Webster 439-3454.

New Group … Women of Faith … a fellowship of women coming together to celebrate our Catholic faith through Bible studies, video & group discussion. Our first meeting is Thursday, March 3rd, after the 7pm Mass, Centre boardroom … Fr. Pacwa’s Bible study on “Eucharist”.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul … suggested food items-peanut butter, cheese whiz, pancake mix & syrup, canned meats & fish, small bottles of jam. With your generosity, we are continuing to help those in need. Thank you.

Lenten Solidarity Workshop … (Development & Peace) … Sunday, March 6th, St. Pius X Church, Parkdale, 2:00 – 4:00pm with guest speaker from Nigeria who does work for empowerment and change.
