Religious Education News …
Final Catechism Class is Sunday, April 3rd;
Grade 2 Children will continue classes for the month of April, 11:30am – 12:30pm. There will be NO Thursday evening Mass for First Communion children on April 14th. First Communion will be Sunday, May 1st, 10:30am Mass; Confirmation Retreat will be Saturday, April 30th. Location is the Miscouche Rec Centre by Miscouche school. Time and fee has not been determined. Confirmation is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th with a reception to follow.

St. Paul’s CWL … monthly meeting, Monday April 4th, 7:00pm, Centre main hall preceded by executive meeting at 6 pm, Boardroom. We encourage all executive members to be present for the Affirmation of the Executive. Members planning to go to the Provincial Convention in Ch’Town, May 6th & 7th need to have their $20.00 passed in for the banquet. Registration is paid by Council. We will be doing our letter writing campaign to Government Officials on the issues Physician Assisted Suicide/Abortion. We open this up to parishioners who wish to support our efforts in expressing our views on these important matters. Eastertide Blessings to everyone! Thank you!

SDU Scholarships and Bursaries … deadline to apply ($5,000.00 per year, renewable) is April 15. The SDU Board of Governors Award ($1,000.00 non-renewable, minimum of one per high school) application deadline is May 1. SDU Bursary deadline is August 31. Lectors’ Workshop… the Diocesan Liturgical Commission will be offering a workshop for lectors … St. Paul’s Centre on Monday, April 18th, 7:00 – 8:15pm. Together we will explore hints for preparing/proclaiming and discover the primacy of the Sunday Gospel and its relationship to the other Readings. All interested are most welcome.
Evenings of Recollection – meditations preached by a priest of Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church. Men’s (Mon April 11 @7pm) – Women’s (Tue April 12 @7pm) at St. Paul’s, aiming to assist the individual to relate his/her family life, work and social commitments more fully to their relationship with God.
