St. Peregrine Mass (Patron Saint of cancer & other serious illnesses) … every 3rd Thursday of the month, 7pm followed by a blessing with the St. Peregrine oil.              

Catholic Women’s League … first Monday of the month at 7:00pm in the main hall.

Militia Immaculata (MI) … meets 2nd Saturday of each month, Boardroom, after 9:00am Mass.  Everyone welcome.                                          
Knights of Columbus … meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month,  8pm, K of C Room, 2nd Floor, Parish Centre.  Please join the K of C on the first Saturday evening of each month at 6:30 pm for rosary in preparation for the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady’s appearance at Fatima.

Annual Parish Financial Meeting … will take place on Thursday, May 5th at 7:30pm in the parish hall (following the 7pm Mass).  All are most welcome!

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada … calls all people of faith to join nationwide in 12 Hours of Prayer for Palliative Care on Wednesday, May 4th  , designed to take place during the National Hospice Palliative Care Week as a profound witness to the sanctity of human life. All parishioners, family and friends are invited to join St. Paul’s CWL Council in prayer and solidarity, Wed, May 4th in our Church, 7:00am to7:00pm.  During this time,  the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed. There is a chart in the entrance of the church for anyone to sign up for a certain hour or two. We encourage groups and families if possible. Those unable to attend are encouraged to join in prayerful support. There is a petition (available at the Church side entrance to the Parish Center) asking the House of Commons in Parliament assembled to specifically identify palliative care as a defined medical service covered under the Canada Health Act.  Pope Francis reminds us …  “ Let us not underestimate the power of so many voices united in prayer.” We pray you will join us on May 4th.

Knights of Columbus News …                            Congratulations to Mike Spin, of our Parish, who received the PEI Knight of the Year Award at Annual State Convention in April.

Pancake Breakfast … K of C will hold this pancake breakfast following the 10:30am Mass on Sunday, May 15th.  Proceeds in aid of Camp Kolbe and on-going Knights’ projects.  Goodwill offering.

Working against suicide: The Government of Canada has introduced Bill C-14, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and to make related amendments to other Acts (medical      assistance in dying). This proposed legislation, which responds to the decision of the Supreme Court of Canada in early 2015, will make euthanasia and assisted suicide legal and more accessible in our entire country. The Supreme Court decision and current   legislative efforts are in stark contradiction to the endeavours of individuals, families and communities to counteract the dangers and sufferings of suicide.  To express your concerns about the legislation … 

St. Paul’s Youth Group … meets Wednesdays, 7pm – 9pm, 2nd level of Parish Centre.  All youth, Grades 7 & up are welcome to attend.  Come and see.

Family Retreats …  are a great chance to spend some quality time with your own and to meet other Catholic families. The Thursday evening thru Sunday Retreats are held at Kolbe Retreat Center in Grand River PEI. The $250 registration fee covers all food and lodging for your whole family.  There are six retreats scheduled for this summer: June 30 – July 3, July 14-17, July 21-24, Aug. 4-7, Aug. 18-21 and Aug. 25-28.
