Looking for Altar Servers … we are looking for more ways to get young people involved in our parish and so we are putting this call out for more altar servers. Children should be at least in grade 4 and have received First Communion. If your child might be interested, please call or email the parish with your contact information and we will let you know when the training session will be held.

Religious Education News …
Thank you to all parishioners who have become prayer partners to the Confirmation candidates. Theresa has been asked to tell prayer partners, if you would like to correspond with your candidate whether it is a card or note bring it to the office; Beth and Theresa will be able to pass it on to the Confirmation candidate. Your continued prayers will be much appreciated throughout this year of preparation.
Grade 4 … Bible presentation to Grade 4 Sunday, Nov. 9th, 10:30am Mass.

St. Paul’s CWL … sincerely thanks everyone who helped in any way to make the Spaghetti Supper a huge success … ticket sellers, people re supplies, helpers Saturday/Sunday, our 2 generous people who made and donated the delicious sauce, cooked spaghetti and kept it all hot, the youth and others who served the meal. Many compliments were received. We are very grateful to ALL who bought tickets or donated money to support our fundraiser!

CWL Members are asked to donate $5 for the money tree for the Christmas Lottery, which starts next week. Money may be placed in an envelope “CWL” and put in with collection.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul … Suggested food items: canned fruit, cereal, coffee, tea. Next meeting is Thursday, Nov. 6th, 7:30pm, Parish Center – why not join us.

Who is Pope Francis and What Is He Saying to the Church … a faith and knowledge lecture presented by Rev. Thomas Rosica, C.S.B. at Westisle Composite High School, Tuesday, Nov. 11th, 7:30pm and at St. Pius X, Ch’Town on Wed., Nov. 12th, 7:30pm. All are most welcome.

Lecture Series … Michael Frost presents “… And the Two Shall Become One “, Parish Centre, 7:00pm on Sunday, Nov. 9th . The Bible tells us how to be a good husband and a good wife, yet how many of us struggle with the becoming part. Come, sit and listen to hear ways that can help your marriage become stronger.

Catholic Family Services Bureau News … this Bureau has been supporting Island families for 83 years. A special collection to support the work of the Bureau will be taken at all Masses the weekend of November 22-23rd. Peter Mutch will be here the week before (Nov. 15-16) to tell us a bit about the work they do. Please consider helping Island families by supporting this special collection.
